A huge well done to Isabelle who has raised over £700 for people effected by the war in Ukraine. What an incredible amount, which I’m sure will make a big difference!

Nant BH 2022

What a fantastic few days! The children were brilliant; they listened well, and were a credit to the school. Several of the instructors commented on how impressed they were with how the children faced the different challenges and their attitude to new experiences. Well done Year 4!

Have a look at the pictures below.

Nant Bh Day one

We have arrived safely at the centre and settled into our dorms. The children have enjoyed their first activities this afternoon- class 9 canoeing, and class 10 rock climbing and bush craft!

We will try to upload pictures separately- if the Wi-Fi cooperates!

Everyone has eaten well- most of them having seconds!

We are off for a night walk soon- hopefully everyone will be ready for a good nights sleep afterwards 🤞

Nant BH- We are here!

Mae hen wlad fy nhadau

The children have learnt the national anthem this week. They worked really hard and have sung the anthem with pride- Ardderchog!

Class Organisation

Croeso i Flwyddyn 4!

Below you will find information about the day to day running of Year 4...we hope it helps.

Pupils will be given their Reading Log on Monday, this will be brought home on that day so parents can comment or sign the days that they have listened to or witnessed their child reading at home (three times a week at least).

These logs are to be brought back into school every Monday for teachers to monitor.

Literacy homework will be set using  Google Classroom on Mondays. Homework is to be completed by Thursday. Work will be self assessed by pupils at home. If requested by the teacher, completed work can be submitted via classroom.

Maths homework will be set using Mathletics on a Friday to be completed over the weekend.

We  expect at least 1000 points each week. Pupils will be given class points for more than 2000. Usernames and passwords will remain the same and log in details can be found in Reading Logs.

Rewards and sanctions

This year we are adopting a new reward scheme for pupils in KS2 that follows a similar structure to DOJOs. Pupils will receive points for positive attitude and behaviour, and will lose points for poor attitude and behaviour.

PE Days

Pupils arrive at school in their outdoor PE kits- trainers, black tracksuit bottoms, plain white T-shirt, sweatshirt.

Year 4- Monday and Wednesday

Forest Schools information will be given at a later date.
