What we are learning this week - 25.09.23
This week we are busy busy busy! In language we are exploring alliteration and writing some of our own sentences describing animals, using as much alliteration as possible. We are also becoming super story writers and are creating our own stories thinking about our story 'The Zoo Vet' which we explored last week. We are also continuing our work on adjectives and we are thinking about adjectives to describe an animal. In Topic we are exploring pattern and creating our own book using book creator for our friends to guess what objects patterns are from. In Art we are using aqua pencils to recreate animal patterns and matching patterns to animals.
In Maths we are continuing looking at place value. Last week the children demonstrated that they can split a number into tens and ones. This week we will be using a range of place value charts to continue to support their place value knowledge. In French we are continuing our work on colours and in Welsh we are learning to talk about the animals we like and dislike using dwi'n hoffi and dwi'n ddim yn hoffi.
