What we are learning - Week beg 23.10.23
In Math’s we will be exploring money! We will be revising the value of money and doing lots of practical work adding money to make an amount using 2p, 5p and 10p. Can you look at money at home? See what pennies you have and if you can add them up.
In Literacy we will be focusing on non-fiction texts and will be writing instructions for ‘How to care for a pet’. We will also be taking our learning outdoors again, this time making a home for our pets using natural materials.
In our Topic sessions we will be creating our own animals using body parts from all different animals, we can’t wait to see what crazy creature we come up with. We are looking forward to reading the Welsh story Anifeiliaid Africa and will be continuing to write simple Welsh sentences using Welsh adjectives We are also exploring the Welsh app - byd cyw.
On Friday 27th October we will be holding our Year 2 Charity Loom Band Bracelet Sale! If you would like to purchase a loom bracelet then please send your child in with the money in a labelled envelope. We are selling the bracelets for £1 per item, all money raised will be donated to the Jackson’s Animal Shelter.
