This week in Literacy we are thinking and writing about animals that hibernate. We will be playing word bingo with 3 letter words and practising handwriting (o and O). In numeracy we are solving a mixture of addition and subtraction sums, using a hundred square to mark off given numbers and practising forming the number 11. In p.e. we are using hoops and beanbags to aim and score points and in the hall we will be thinking about those hibernating animals and trying to move as they do. In our humanities session we will be talking about why birds migrate and looking at the places they go to. In our afternoon sessions we will be using the I Pads to create a winter scene, colouring hibernating animal pictures and making group jigsaws. Our big book of the week is a Welsh story called "Heddwch O'r Diwedd" (Peace At Last)and our phrase of the week is "Pwy Wyt Ti?" (Who are you?). We will also be continuing to practise our lines and songs for our upcoming Christmas performance.
