Every school has a governing body composed of teachers; non-teaching staff, parents and people from the local community. Governors have a responsibility for the effective management of a school, acting within the framework set out by national legislation and the policies of the Local Education Authority.
The Governors of Ewloe Green aim to assist in delivering the best possible education to every child in the school. Our governors meet regularly, together or in committees, to deal with a wide variety of school business including:
- the maintenance and development of the school buildings
- curriculum matters
- staffing
- the budget
The Governor’s role is to steer the school by agreeing aims and values and setting a policy on the curriculum that meets statutory requirements, including special needs.
The Governors, in co-operation with the Headteacher, keep parents informed about what is happening at school and are committed to ensuring that their views are taken into account.
Each year an annual report is published covering various aspects of school life.
The governors can be contacted via the school office.
