It has been wonderful to see the children back in school after half term. Can you believe it is also their last half term in Reception? WOW !! This week we have been busy finding out all about our new topic 'Under the Sea' we have been thinking of lots of questions that we want to find the answers to.
We have also been writing all about what we did over half term with a focus on the words...

I think the children might be able to write a sentence for you using these words at home now too! We are getting very good at using capital letters, finger spaces and full stops in our sentences.
In Numeracy this week we have been having great fun catching sea creatures using a net. We then had to choose our favourite sea creature and write this in a table, then we had to estimate how many there were, and finally check our own answers by counting. This was lots of fun!
We have also had to use our addition and subtraction skills to solve the colouring in challenge. We did this really well.
We have been singing this song this week. We really like it !
We really enjoyed our Sport's Day and making our Art for you to see too. Photographs of Sport's Day will be available to see on the School Website.
Next week we will be using coins to pay for ice creams, making Father's Day cards, finding out more about 'Under the Sea' and making some lovely Sea Creature pictures too.
Have a wonderful weekend.
