So here we are in the last week of the half term Wow, this half term has flown. This week is a busy and exciting week. In Literacy we are writing a few facts we have learned through our half term's topic (Minibeasts) and we will also be writing group stories (where the children come up with the ideas and the adult is the scribe) and our handwriting sound of the week is qu/Qu. In maths we are using clock faces and ink stamps and doing more work on o'clock and half past and we will also be ordering the days of the week. On Friday we have a special day where we will be wearing green to school and we will be thinking about and talking about mental health and well being. We will be talking about anger, how it makes us feel and what we can do to control our anger. In science we will be using a bottle of fizzy drink to show what happens when we shake it up and take the lid off. Of course Wednesday is a special day. SPORTS DAY. The children have been practising the different races and are really looking forward to the day.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO SEND A CAP/HAT WITH YOUR CHILD AND PLEASE APPLY SUN CREAM BEFORE THEY COME TO SCHOOL.
There will be tea, coffee and squash for sale (cash only) and, of course, if time allows, there will be PARENTS' RACES too.
