This week we are learning about Uganda. The children are having a sponsored walk and search for animals and on Friday they can come dressed as an African animal or in the colours of the Uganda flag. In LLC we will be choosing an animal from Uganda and writing about it. We will also practise our letter of the week, r/R. In maths we are using playdough to make snakes and use those snakes to measure if things are longer/shorter than the snake. We will also be ordering pictures of snakes from shortest to longest and doing some more subtraction sums too. In p.e we are doing some African dancing. In science and technology we will be finding out about endangered animals. In our continuous provision areas we will be using pasta and rice to make some musical instruments, make Uganda flags and make an African pattern book mark. It's going to be a very busy but very special week. We have visitors coming to talk to the children about Uganda. On Friday we break up for half term. This half term has FLOWN.
The children are back in school on TUESDAY 4th March.
