This week we are learning about St. David and on Friday the children will be able to come to school dressed in traditional Welsh costume or the colours of the Welsh flag. We will be making Welsh flags and bunting and a dragon with moving legs. We will be going on a nature walk to look at signs of spring and in class we will be doing an observational drawing of a daffodil. We are learning a simple Welsh song about St. David and our student teacher, Mr. Spencer will be helping us to learn a Welsh dance. We are having a special assembly on Friday too.
We are also very lucky to have a visitor coming to talk to us about rain forests. We are really looking forward to meeting her, finding out about the rain forests around the world and the animals that live there and hearing a story about an elephant called Leon.
