We seem to have been invaded by dinosaurs in Year 1. We have been finding out all about where they came from and how long ago they lived. To know it was about 65 million years ago has been quite comforting as we all agree, none of us would really like to meet one!
In Maths, we have been weighing our toy dinosaurs and comparing and ordering them. It’s been really interesting to discover how something can be longer but not heavier.
The children already know an incredible amount of facts about dinosaurs and we will use some of these next week to fuel our learning. We can’t spoil the surprise but it will include lots of eggs!
Thank you for sharing all the progress children have made so far in Year 1, it was good to see so many of you this week at our parents’ meetings.
We have also been making a special card for you to share on Sunday and wish all the amazing Mums, Grandmas, Nanas and important people who help raise such great children a Happy Mothering Sunday this weekend.
As always, thank you for all your support, Mrs. Hughes and Mrs. Marten
