What a wonderful week we have had! We have had such a
wonderful time creating our supertato characters, using a wide range of materials.
We have been super impressed with all of the wonderful adjectives the children
have been using to describe their models. We have used StopMotion to create our
own retell of the story of Supertato, working so well as a team.

We have been creating wanted posters looking for Evil Pea and thinking of other mischievous things he could get up to in our homes and schools. We have planned designs for our masks and completed them, it really has been wonderful seeing everyone’s creative ideas this week.

We have been counting objects and matching them to numbers to 50 and have really enjoyed a lot of practical maths activities when exploring ordinal numbers. He have had potato races and beanbag throwing competitions to consolidate our learning on ordinal numbers. We have been talking about healthy and unhealthy foods and sorting them into sets.

Class 5 have enjoyed performing their Harvest assembly to the rest of the lower school pupils, Mrs Marten and Miss C are amazing with how well everyone remembered their lines – well done everyone.

We have continued to work on our running, jumping and throwing skills in P.E and have worked as a super team during our relay races.

Next week we will be starting to follow and write some simple instructions and exploring how veggies can be rescued from blocks of ice.
It is out whole school harvest week and our Chair of Governors will be coming into school for our special assembly. We will also be using counters and cubes to explore part/whole models in our number work.
