What we are learning this week - 02.10.23
This week in Literacy the children will be writing their ‘vet’ stories that they planned last week. We will also be tuning into our multilingual skills by learning the colours in French and talking about or likes and dislikes in Welsh! Wow!
In Maths we will be continuing with place value and how we can use it to partition numbers into tens and ones. We might even go into hundreds, tens and ones! We will also be revising comparing numbers using the skill of ‘greater/less than’ that we learned in week 2.
In Topic we are looking at farm animals in preparation for our trip to Park Hall Farm on Friday which we are super excited for (more details below)! We are making some lovely farm animal paper plate craft to decorate our classrooms with.
In P.E we are showing off our throwing and catching skills and continuing with creating animal shapes with our bodies during gymnastics.
Friday - We will be leaving school around 9:15 a.m (depending on what time the coach arrives) and will be returning around 2:45 p.m ready for normal home time. Please can lunches be brought in a backpack that can be carried around if needed, no fizzy drinks or sweets. The weather isn’t looking too bad but please ensure that your child has a warm coat. Children can come in their PE kits and trainers but they must wear their Ewloe Green jumpers/cardigans. They do not need to bring any money with them. Any other questions then please ask.
