Day one
Wow…what a first day it has been. The pupils have been brilliant.
We arrived at Colomendy at 10 o clock, after dropping off our luggage we departed for Loggerheads. The weather was kind, it was dry but windy. We hiked to the top and admired the view.
At the bottom we all had our lunch before starting the long walk up to Colomendy, we arrived there a little early so all the pupils were able to have some time to run and play on the grounds….I don’t know how they had the energy!
It was then time for everyone’s favourite part of the day…dorms. After a quick tour the pupils were taken to their dorms to settle. They had to make their beds, unpack and tidy their areas. All were successful.
No rest yet though, we had our first activity, Nightline. The pupils had to work together, blindfolded, to complete an obstacle course. It was hard work but lots of fun.
Upon completion, it was tea time. We are happy to report that everyone enjoyed there with lots of clean plates and then ice cream for pudding.
It was then time for dorm inspections…very strict and rather informative.
At 7.30pm we all met up for a Group Contract, we discussed our hopes for the trip that we will discuss around the fire tomorrow. Then rocket building, another team building exercise…with lots of tired children.
An incredibly busy day but EVERY CHILD has been impeccably behaved….our first night beckons.

Well we have been busy!!!
An early start this morning after a good night. We had a delicious breakfast followed immediately by our activities.
We have all taken part in:
Problem solving
Archery
Jacob's ladder
Low ropes
The children have thoroughly enjoyed each activity.
After tea we had a lovely evening singing songs and eating marshmallows around the fire.
We have a lot of tired children....hopefully.
