Good evening from Willersley,
Well what a day…we started at the amazing Pooles Cavern, with children enjoying a hike to the summit where unbelievable views from Solomons Temple were taken in. Then into the cavern, under the hill to discover the history of the site. We saw lots of beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. A lovely picnic in the park then back on the bus.
The site manager came to see staff before departure to tell us how polite and well mannered our pupils were. Great start to the trip.
We arrived at Willersley Castle a little late so that meant a quick tour then straight into our first activity. Some were sledding, some were shooting, some were trampolining but all were smiling. Such an amazing start to the trip.
Straight after our first activity we had our first meal here…it was stunning. A huge choice of freshly cooked food with everyone catered for. Every single child had a hot meal and most tried something new. Everyone had a full belly before their evening activity.
The final activity was again well received, but we did have some tired children. They are currently tidying their room ready for room inspections.
They have had an incredible first day and have been a pleasure to take…long may it continue.
