This week Mr. Williams was in Cardiff with Year 5 from Monday to Wednesday and Mrs. Cyman-Jones was teaching Class 1. The sound of the week was qu. The story was The very Hungry Caterpillar and the children wrote about what he ate each day. They also wrote, in Welsh, about the foods they like and don't like. In maths the children sorted minibeasts according to criteria they had chosen and they also used some of the snails we found last week to have a snail race. In science we learned about the lifecycle of a butterfly and more about snails. We have also learned a song about a caterpillar that becomes a butterfly. In p.e we have practised the races we will be running on sports day.
