What's Happening This Half Term in Nursery?
This half term, our Nursery topic is Growing. We will explore how things grow, with the children taking part in gardening activities. They’ll have the opportunity to plant sunflowers and learn about the life cycle of plants.
In addition to this, the children will create fruit kebabs as part of a fun, hands-on exploration of healthy and unhealthy foods. They’ll discover which foods help our bodies grow strong and fit.
In Numeracy, we will be using money in our Market Stall role play, where the children will practice adding numbers together to see how much food they can buy.
For Literacy, we will continue with our Read Write Inc. (RWI) program, focusing on supporting the children to write their own names. We will also introduce blending sounds together to enhance their reading skills.
Nursery will also be preparing for Sports Day this term. We’ll explore how exercise keeps us fit and the different ways our bodies feel after physical activity. Throughout the term, we will focus on health and well-being.
Thank you for your continued support!
