What a wonderful week we have had this week! We are so proud of the progress everyone has made this half term and how well the children have settled into year one life.
This week we have continued to describe superhero characters and used a word bank of adjectives to support us. We have also compared and contrasted our superheroes. We have also used the characters we developed last week to plan our own story, based on all of the superhero stories we have read and listened to. We have made some of the most wonderful story maps retelling our story events.
In maths we have been exploring missing numbers in number sentences and we have also been using the < and > symbols to compare numbers.
We have been thinking about healthy eating and creating plans for healthy meals and snacks! We are hoping to make a healthy snack/meal next week (more exciting news to follow)!
We have been talking about strangers and safer strangers and discussing how we can stay safe when out and about and what we could do if we were in a lost situation!
Next week we will reflecting on our learning this half term, consolidating our learning. We will be looking at instruction writing and also working on reading and spelling key words. We are also really looking forward to telling all the grown ups how proud we are of all of the children!
