Black History Month

Today, Year 6 joined a live assembly delivered by Picture News in celebration of Black History Month. An incredible 4,300 schools from across the UK took part in the event, which featured a special guest speaker — Radio 1 DJ Swarzy.

This year’s theme, Standing Firm in Power and Pride, provided a powerful opportunity to recognise, celebrate, and reflect on the achievements and contributions of black people throughout history.
