Autumn 2 Half term Let’s Celebrate 

This half term we will be exploring different celebrations and cultures. We will be looking at similarities and differences in the way people all over the World celebrate events. We will be talking about how important we are in our own celebrations and in the wilder community. The children will be starting to look at the letters of their name and write their own names independently. We will be introducing more Read Write Ink sounds. Nursery will be exploring numbers up to 10, looking and creating patterns of two colours. The children will be ordering objects according to their size- small, medium and large. As a nursery we will be exploring and experimenting with a variety of resources, looking at how things work and which materials would and could work when creating things. This half term we will also engage with different types of reading materials including digital ones. 
Nursery will be starting our outdoor learning, a group a day will be going outside to complete activities, which will be related to our topic. 
The children will be learning the songs for our Christmas Concert. We are looking forward to a busy and fun half term.

First Half term

The children have all settled really well this first half term. We have been learning to count forwards from 1-5 and backwards 5-1. The children have learnt four sounds this term which are m a s d. In nursery we have enjoyed sharing things about ourselves, where and who  we live with. The children have also being looking and learning about 2D shapes.  The children have been exploring how to put their coats on by themselves. We have also been singing our good morning/ good afternoon songs in Welsh. The children have enjoyed learning about Autumn, the colour's changing, going on Autumn walks and baking bread like "The Little Red Hen". Thank you for your continuous support over the first 8 weeks of this term, we are looking forward to the next half term which is going to be
