Although the schools have closed we still want the learning to continue. We will be updating Spellodrome every Monday as usual, TT rockstars will need to be used daily (this is so important) and reading books need to be read every day - either the book you have chosen from school or from your collection at home.
We expect at least 1000 points on Spellodrome but also that you use your ‘draft’ books to write spellings and use them in sentences- just like in our Guided Reading sessions.
Literacy and Numeracy activities will be posted each morning for you to complete. If you want to send pictures of completed work to us then that would be great, if not then that is fine, these activities are for you to complete independently- you need to do these to make sure you continue to progress and grow. Choose the correct level of challenge- our top tip would be to start at a level you are comfortable with then push yourself to the next level to increase the challenge.
We would really like you to keep a diary- in your draft book- to monitor what is happening and what you have done each day. This will create a really interesting read in the years to come.
Finally, if you need any help or have any questions then please email us:
We will be available between 8.30 and 4.30 and will reply to you as soon as possible. If similar problems arise we will give a general reply on this page.
We hope that you and your family stay safe in these hard times, wishing you all the best.
Below you will find some activities for you to do throughout the day.
Don't forget to:
Practice your 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10 times tables. Try TT Rockstars or dance along with BBC Supermovers.
Spellodrome – will be changed every Monday.
Reading books – please read as many books as possible from home, noting progress in reading logs.
HWB * please log on and explore some of the activities in the Just2easy section.
* practice some of the questions from our recent assessments in maths.
Please note: Your work will now be put in the English and Maths folders below. Just look for the correct date (as of Tues 24th March).
Year 4's Got Talent!!!!!
I have started receiving videos from some pupils demonstrating their talents. If you would like to share these with everyone, please send them to me ( firstname.lastname@example.org ) and I will be happy to share them here on our website.
You could include your brothers, sisters or even parents!
I look forward to seeing what you guys can come up with over the weekend.
(Try to make sure your videos are not too long as I will not be able to upload them here)
