In our maths this week, we have been exploring place value. We have been learning that numbers can be made up using tens and units. We have used tens and units grids to help our understanding. We have also played fun games like bingo to make us think about the value of different numbers.
We have also been practising counting in tens and writing our tens numbers.
In language this week, we have been imagining what the world might be like if dinosaurs were still alive. We have written lots of super sentences! In language we have also been practising our sounds. We have been looking at pictures from our dinosaurs and using the sounds we know to work out their spellings.
Sadly it is the last week of our dinosaur topic! We have been busy this week reflecting on this half term. We have written about what we have learnt in our dinosaur topic and thought about how we can improve our work next term. We have also made videos where we have picked our favourite challenge area and explained why it is our favourite.
We have also had fun exploring how music can affect how you can feel. We enjoyed listening to the Jurassic Park soundtrack and drawing how this made us feel.
This week, we have also enjoyed listening to the AmaSing concert on Monday.
Next half term we will be starting our new topic ‘Spark in the Dark’ exploring everything in space and also nocturnal animals.
Thank you for your continued support this half term!
