Another busy week for Class 1! This week we have been learning all about ‘People Who Help Us’ and all of their important jobs. We have put our magic ‘future goggles’ on and have been writing what we want to be when we’re grown up, we are going to have lots of fire fighters, teachers and spidermen to take care of us!
Our key skill in Numeracy this week has been ordering numbers 1-10. The children have done lots of experimenting with Numicon, painting and stamping them in the correct order as well as making patterns. We have also been practising writing numbers 1-5 as they can be quite tricky.
With our Topic being ‘People Who Help Us’ we have been helping poor old Humpty Dumpty to mend himself back together again. We have been practising a new fine motor skill of folding paper to make his wiggly arms and legs to create our own Humpty Dumpty’s.
Literacy - Letter of the week ‘t’. We will looking at healthy and unhealthy food and what we like to eat.
Numeracy - Number of the week ‘6’. We will be having a go at collecting data by using tally charts.

We hope you have a lovely weeken!
