What we have been doing this week.
This week we have been busy measuring things using non-standard units. We have measured in dinosaur footprints, blocks and even toilet roll. The children have chosen what to measure around the classroom, they even measured the teacher.
The children have been able to measure some dinosaur footprints that are to scale, as we had a lot of questions about the size of dinosaurs.
In language we wrote our own ending to the story 'Harry and the Bucketful' the children came up with some great ideas that they will be pleased to share with you on parents evening. The children have made us very proud with their hard work and efforts with this.
In our topic we researched Mary Anning, the children made amazing fact profiles about her and found her life very interesting. We enjoyed finding out about her life and what she did.
We had a special email from our dinosaur this week, he sent us pictures of where he has been and we plotted these on a map! He has gone all the way back to America after his tour of Britain.
