This week in Numeracy the children have been exploring 2D shapes. They have been making Shape People, Houses, and playing lots of shape games too.  They have even used their pattern skills to complete shape patterns on the iPads. If you would like to look at this at home too the link is below.

In Numeracy this week we have also been forming the number four. To help us  do this we used a rhyme 'Go down and across and down once more' this helped the children create lots of number fours both inside and outside the classroom.

The children even enjoyed playing the Triangle and singing 'Twinkle Twinkle' too.

In Literacy this week we have been busy talking about and understanding feelings. We have used the 'Mood Monsters' to help us. The children enjoyed making Mood Monster puppets and acting out different situations in the Puppet Theatre.

They used facial expressions to pull different faces and they enjoyed guessing how their friends were feeling. They have enjoyed listening to lots of different stories focusing on feelings and were able to identify the feelings of other people well.

In P.E this week the children went for a walk around the school to see what different shapes they could identify. They worked well in small groups to use their bodies to create the different shapes.

Can you guess how we are feeling?
