They have had a really good go at writing in Welsh in their speech bubbles to Santa. They have use the sentence ‘Beth wyt ti eisiau am Nadolig’.
In maths we have been doing the tricky skill of subtraction. The children have used different methods such as number squares, cubes and number lines.
They have been outside to collect natural objects and work out how many are left when they take away a certain amount.
They have also been revising their ordinal numbers by colouring in the correct picture. Using the ordinal number given.
We have been planning how to make a rocket for next week. We have thought about what material we will need to use and what tools we will need. They have drawn a diagram and labeled the material needed.
They have been labeling the parts of a 3D rocket using the iPads. They have found out the different parts of a rocket.
They have been making rockets using Numicon. Thinking about what numbers they need to make the rocket shape.
This week we have also enjoyed our Expressive Arts morning. The children have had fun expressing the feeling 'excitement' through dance.
We have lots to look forward to next week! Movie night, the pantomime, Christmas jumper day!
We still have lots of learning to do too.
