Week Beginning 22nd November 2021
In our Numeracy work we have been estimating, counting and checking the amounts of small elephants. The children then recorded this in their books. We have also been using our skills of understanding one more and one less when counting lego bricks and counters
We have really enjoyed doing the elephant dance in P.E too! Maybe you could use the link below to share your dance with your family. It was great fun!!!!
This week we have been busy finding out all about Elmer, the patchwork elephant. We have been talking about why he was different and how he may have felt in the story. We have been working with Mrs Pritchard to make a lovely Elmer using the plastic milk bottles that we bought in to school.
This week we have started to learn our Christmas songs ready to record over the next few weeks.
The songs we are learning in Reception are:
Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer,
We wish You a Merry Christmas
Away in a manger.
Please can you practice these at home I know some of you have been already !!
Next Week: Blackpool Week
The Letter of the week 'o'.
The number of the week is 13
The children will also be making their Handprint crafts for those of you who have ordered. What a BUSY WEEK !!!
We will be looking at Blackpool and all of the attractions and writing about what we would like to do there if we got to visit. We will be building the Blackpool Tower and designing our own illuminations.
We will continue to use the skills of one more and done less when completing different light sequences and patterns.
Have a lovely weekend.
