This week in school we had a very special visitor. Jim very kindly came in to visit us to tell us all about his very important job. Jim is a voluntary blood bike driver. He has a very important job of delivery blood, baby milk, and important medicines to people who need it. We decided that Jim is a super hero because he is kind and he helps people. Thank you very much Jim!
As we were all very excited about our special guest, in Literacy this week we wrote thank you letters to Jim, to thank him for all the amazing work that he does. We also received a letter from Jim, saying thank you to us all for listening so well and asking lots of great questions. We learnt where the address goes on a letter, how we begin a letter, and how we ended the letter. Jim is very excited to read the amazing letters we wrote in class.
In maths this week we carried on looking at money. This week we have began adding money. We learnt that there are many different ways of showing 5p, 10p, and 20p. We were brilliant at showing the coins in different ways. This will help us next week when we pay for items at the shop!
This week in topic we carried out our science experiment to see which material would be best for Captain America's cape. In Class 3 we found that the cape made out of foil was the fastest because it was the most aerodynamic. However, we found that overall Captain America flew fastest without a cape at all! In topic this week we were also very busy making our Mother's Day cards and flowers ready to take home. We hope you enjoyed them!
