We have had another busy week this week! We have had lots of fun celebrating St. David’s Day and learning all about St. David.
This week we have learnt about our own Welsh superhero St. David in Language. We have written about why St. David is special and the miracles he performed. We have also spent time thinking and talking about different things that make Wales special. We have sketched daffodils and made Welsh bunting.
We have spent another week in Maths focusing on money. This week we have practised recognising different coins and writing their value. The children have also enjoyed role playing shops to explore using different coins to pay for items as well as giving change.
We have had fun focusing on Wales and the Welsh language. We have had fun learning verses of the Welsh poem ‘Daffodil’. We have also crafted daffodils from card, split pins and tissue paper.
In Language next week we will be doing more work on our book: Supertato. We will be writing character descriptions, making our own Supertatos and thinking about what super vegetables we would be. In Maths we will be doing lots of fun, practical activities exploring measuring. In Topic, we will be thinking about how we can be superheroes by recycling.
