What a busy week we have had! In Literacy we have been practising writing our names and learning all about the characters from the Oxford Reading Tree stories. We have introduced the letter 'm' to the children and have been talking about words that begin with m. Next week we will be having a go at writing the letter 'm' which you could practise over the weekend, you could by make it out of play dough or use your finger to draw it in a tray of sand/glitter.
In Numeracy we have been busy counting and writing our numbers to 10. We have also been number detectives looking out for our number of the week 'Number 1'. Can you find any Number 1's at home? Remember it could be just one object that you find.
Our Topic this term is 'All About Me'. We have loved hearing all about your summer and getting to know the children more. We have been busy assessing the children's knowledge of the letter sounds and number recognition as well as writing their names, what a busy week!
We have been very busy this week working hard and exploring our new classroom. We also went for a walk around school in P.E and we got to play on the new climbing frame too.
Our P.E session
Literacy - We will be matching the ORT characters names to their pictures. Some of you have been talking about the characters at home so a big well done!
Numeracy - We will be counting amounts and learning all about the Number 2!
Topic - We will be looking at our facial features and how we are all unique!
We hope you all have a lovely weekend!
