Always Aiming High – Anelu’n Uchel O Hyd

Wednesday 29th April

Phonic activity

Our sounds of the day are ‘ir’ (Whirl and Twirl), and ‘er’ (Better Letter).

Can you write a poem using as many words with the sounds ‘ir’ and ‘er’ as you can? Maybe you can link these sounds in your acrostic poem challenge in literacy?

Numeracy activity

Think of 10 famous people you know and find out how old they are. Write their names and ages in the correct order, starting from the youngest to the oldest. Can you look at their dates of birth and with some grown up help work out how old they are (this is VERY tricky)! If you prefer you can do this with your family members instead.

Literacy activity

Mrs Marten and Oliver explain the activity for today with the unhelpful Harry hands!

Acrostic poem challenge

Perhaps complete an acrostic poem about someone in your family too!
