‘Twas the night before Nausicca, when all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
After a very pleasant evening- pupils participated in a quiz which allowed them to settle into the surroundings- it was bedtime...all pupils slept well with no issues. The room inspections were not quite as stress-free though. Low marks on night one.
We woke to a lovely breakfast which included fresh croissants. All pupils were refreshed and ready for a busy day of shopping and exploring.
First stop...the market. Pupils tested their french when purchasing souvenirs and mementos...and hats and sunglasses even though it was raining. They boys look like they are starting their own Ewloe Boy Band. Lots of sweets and plenty of berets were also bought. The pupils were polite, conscientious and very reliable. Great start to the day.
After lunch (fresh baguettes) we arrived at Nausicca. It was very busy as it is school holidays over here, but yet again the pupils were fantastic- always aware of their surroundings and consistently polite- more so than many others there.
We saw so many amazing sea creatures and we were all astounded by the size of the place. The sharks, rays and penguins were all well worth the visit.
After a snooze (by most, not all) on the bus back to the chateau it was time to chill before tea. Another lovely meal and another night of clean plates which was great to see as a lot of pupils are trying new things and experiencing different tastes.
Tonight is Chateau Olympics which should be a lot of fun.
More tomorrow- enjoy the photos...au revoir.
