Literacy challenge
Today you have a comprehension challenge to complete! Read the text and answer the questions. Remember to record your answers in any way you wish. This could be on paper, using PicCollage/Chatterpix or maybe a video/voice recording of your voice telling us your answers.
Remember to write or say your answers in full sentences please. For the 'what happened next' question at the end you could continue the story to the end, we would love to read them.
Phonics challenge
Our sounds of the day are ‘ow’ (Blow the Snow), ‘o-e’ (Phone Home), ‘oa’ (Goat in a Boat).
Task – Can you think of 4 words with each of these sounds and put them into sentences? Remember to use your beautiful cursive writing. (Every lowercase letter starts on the line!)
Numeracy challenge
Today you have a money challenge. Can you find some things around your house and ask someone to label them with prices up to £1. Now ask a grown up to help you look for some coins around the house...in your moneybox, in the car, Mum's purse, Dad's wallet. Can you show me the coins you could use to make each amount and draw the coins needed? Perhaps use crayons to make rubbings of the coins too!
