Task 1 - Can you write a list of colours and write what they are used for?  For example: Red crayon is used to colour strawberries, apples and Welsh Dragons.

Extension task - How do you think the crayon feels about colouring in that particular picture?

For example: Red crayon is tired from colouring in Welsh dragons because they are so big.

Task 2 - Can you create your own crayon shop? How much would you sell your crayons for? Can you create price labels for your crayons? Ensure they are even numbers for a later task.

(encourage the use of 1p, 2p, 5p to begin with)

Extension - How much would 2 or 3 crayons cost? Can you find the total cost?

Task 3 - Our sound of the day is ‘are’. – Care and Share

This is a hard sound as on its own it spells the red word ‘are’.

Can you write these words out using two colours, one colour for the sound ‘are’ and another colour for the other letters.
