Task 1 - Choose a character from the story ‘Supertato’ and describe them using full sentences.
Remember you need: Capital letters, full stops, finger spaces and every letter (except capitals) needs to start on the line!
Try to include connectives to extend your sentences (and / so / but / because / with) as well as adjectives (describing words).
Extension - Read over your story. How could you improve it? Can you spot any spelling mistakes? Are any capital letters in the wrong places? Can you underline your adjectives in one colour and connectives in another?
Task 2 - Can you weigh 5 different sized potatoes (or any other vegetables) and record the different weights?
Extension - Can you order them from lightest to heaviest?
Task 3 - Our sound of the day is ‘ay’. – May I play?
How many words with the sound ‘ay’ can you write in a sentence?
Extension: The sound 'ay' can also be spelt like this - ‘ai’ (Snail in the rain).
Can you sort these words into two groups – sounds with ‘ay’ and sounds with ‘ai’?
