Phonics - We were super impressed with all of your a-e words yesterday! These sounds can be quite tricky so a big well done to you all.
Our sound of the day is ‘i-e’. – Nice smile.
Task – Join Geraldine the Giraffe to learn about the magic i-e sounds. Can you think of simple CVC words and then add the magic ‘e’ on the end to make the letter ‘i’ say its name instead of its sound. If you have a toy giraffe or if not you could make a Geraldine Giraffe, write all of the i-e words that you can think of on a piece of paper, scrunch it up and feed them to her!
Eg. Mit - mite
bit - bite
sit - site
