Numeracy - Can you count the mermaids carefully - write the odd numbers in blue and the even numbers in red.

 

Challenge - can you create your own family of mermaids, cut them out and order them in height from the tallest to the shortest? You may even tape them to a stick and make puppets to act out your own story with!

Literacy - Listen to the story of 'The Singing mermaid or read it if you have it at home. A mermaid is half human with a fish's tail. Can you create a creature that is a mixture of two or more animals? 

 

Can you write a description about your creature? Think of lots of adjectives that you can use. 

 

Extra Task - Follow the instructions to make a beautiful Mermaid using your handprint.

Phonics - Last week you focused on words with double the letters  ll, ff, ss - Shell, puff, kiss. 

 

Today's task - Can you make a picture and word card for as many words with these double letter? Tomorrow we will be playing some games with your cards. For example - Draw a picture of a bell on one card and then write the word bell on another card. How many can you make?
