For today's task we are going to talk about being ‘Thankful’. As the world becomes more and more disposable, and with everything available at our fingertips at any time of the day, we can sometimes miss the simple things that we should be thankful for. We are so lucky to have received so many lovely gifts off Santa and all of our family and friends. Talk to your grown ups about all of the things you have that you are thankful to have, this could be the clothes you wear, the house you live in or just that you are healthy and safe. Can you think of 5 things that you are thankful for?
Extra/optional activity - Can you make a thank you card or write a thank you letter. This can be to Santa or a family member or a friend. Sending a card/letter of thanks will certainly put a smile on someone's face and a little bit of happiness is just what we all need right now. You could even record a short video to send to your family and friends.
WOW ! Da iawn ! What fantastic measuring you did yesterday.
Today can you choose a range of items around your home to measure using your hand?
Can you order them from smallest to biggest? Can you tell somebody which is the ‘smallest’ toy?
Can you tell somebody which is the ‘biggest’ toy? How many hands was your ‘biggest’ toy?
Play a Game
Can you play this game ? Can you compare the different objects by size?
Can you now practice writing the letter ‘k’? Can you write the letter k in our special cursive style? This one is a bit tricky, don't forget to start with a whoosh and end with a flick. Can you practice writing the letter k in a tray of sand/glitter or make the words out of playdough.
Challenge - Can you write some words beginning with the letter k? e.g. kit, kick, kite.
