Did you know the Romans are famous for building straight roads? Find out more about them today.

Watch the powerpoint presentation and the BBC clip. On the blank map of Britain, mark on the following routes in different colours. Remember to draw a key to explain the different coloured routes:

  1. Fosse Way
  2. Ermine Street
  3. Watling Street
  4. Chester to York
  5. Chester to Carlisle
