Week 8 - 25th October 2019
We have had such a lovely last week to this term! The children have enjoyed reflecting on our dinosaur topic, they have absolutely loved learning all about dinosaurs - especially the T-Rex. The children have learnt lots of interesting facts about dinosaurs, which i'm sure they will tell you all about. Year 1 have settled in brilliantly and I just want to say how proud I am of them - what a wonderful class! Enjoy your half term, don't miss school too much. I look forward to hearing about all your wonderful adventures.
Week 7 - 18th October 2019
Wow! We have had a super busy week and i'm sure all the children have said they feel tired this week - I've heard lots of children saying 'Dw i'n wedi blino' as it almost reaches the end of half term 1. This week we have made fossils, the children absolutely loved this! The fossils have all been sent home - please check your child's book bag. Also, this week in PE, we tried something new. We participated in The Body Coach's School Fitness week. The children have asked if I can put it on the website so that they and others can try it at home - enjoy! Link attached below.
Week 6 - 11th October 2019
We have had such an exciting week and the children have thoroughly enjoyed week 6 - their favourite thing has got to be Dinosaur Mike paying us a visit! We learnt all about dinosaur fossils and we got to see a dinosaur skull too. The children learnt lots of new facts about dinosaurs and even won a competition against dinosaur mike - winning themselves some dinosaur stickers. What a great week it has been.
Week 5 - 30th September 2019.
Wow! What a busy week we have had in dosbarth 4. We have been super busy doing lots of activities and have had so much fun. The children have really settled in well to year 1 and I look forward to what the rest of the school year will bring. Children have begun to explore the various challenge areas in classes 3 and 4 - experiencing a free-flow experience between both year 1 classes. We have thoroughly enjoyed forest schools this week where children created a home for their dinosaur and later explored the new school ampitheater! We had some children do fantastic acting and freeze frames and we all all played 'Guess which dinosaur I am!'.
Next week, as a school, we are celebrating harvest week. This week children have enjoyed learning some harvest songs which I have attached below if they want to have a listen ready for our assembly on Monday morning. Also, if you have any food which you would like to donate (preferably tinned foods) we will be collecting as of next week.
Week 4 - 23rd September 2019
The children have all worked so incredibly hard this week! I am so proud of them - they have all been given lots of dojos for working so hard and trying their very best in everything they do. This week, it was our turn to do the assembly. Our topic was the North Wind and the Sun - we focussed on being kind and gentle. We had our super actors/actresses - Noah, Lucy and Oliver who were absolutely fantastic! We sang the song 'He's got the whole world in his hands' as we would like the whole world to be kind and gentle. The children have done such fantastic work and have been super helpers throughout the week - what a kind and caring class we have! Well done class 4, have a fabulous weekend.
