Today’s Busy job....

I have been thinking about my family and looking at photographs of them.

I was thinking a nice Busy job for us today would be to have a chat with your family, you could talk about everyone in your family and then draw a picture for your book or use photographs?

I am going to put a frame around my picture, to decorate and make it look pretty, I am going to use 2D shapes.

When you have finished your work, please can you count how many people live in your home?

I will colour my picture in during the day and share it with you this afternoon.

I hope you enjoy today’s busy job. I look forward seeing your work throughout the day. πŸ™‚

Bore da - Good morning

Friday, 27th March. - Dydd Gwener, 27 Mawrth

Good morning Nursery, I hope you have all had a good nights sleep and are ready to have a busy day ‘playing and choosing’ ‘Chwarae a dewis’.

Today it is Friday - Dydd Gwener. Our busy job for today came from an idea that Harley had earlier in the week, thank you Harley. Today we are going to practise our scissor skills. I thought that we could cut out a picture from a magazine, or cut out a picture that you have drawn, or 2D shapes or anything that you would like to and then stick it into your Busy book.

*** Please be very careful when you’re using scissors***

Here are our rules...

You can only do this activity if a member of your family is with you at all times.

You must be sitting down at all times.

You must be super sensible when you are doing this activity.

You must only cut paper that your family have given you.

These rules will will help to keep us safe.

I am going to draw a fish and cut it out, I will put a picture of before and after. I look forward to seeing your work and sharing it on our Nursery webpage later today.

In Nursery on a Friday we usually have a dance, Baby shark is our favourite at the moment. Maybe you could have a dance with your family today, please let me know what music you danced to.

Here is my fish, I am going to sit down at my desk and cut it out carefully.

Good afternoon Nursery, I hope you are all having a lovely day. I have been into school today, we did an exercise video for half an hour, I am very tired now!

I asked the girls and boys that I was looking after if they could help me to choose names for our fish, to start we all drew a picture of a fish, next we wrote down each of the letters on a piece of paper and then I read out all the names that you had suggested, the children wrote all the names and chose their favourite. Here are the names...

m - Matilda

a - Anna

s - Slimey

d - Daddy

t - Toby

Thank you to everyone who send in suggestions for names, We now have very happy fish.

Have a lovely afternoon πŸ™‚

Our Busy job for today...

Yesterday we counted Mrs Hughes’ fish, I have got 5...did you spot them all? Today I thought we could practice writing number 5 in your Busy books and make sets of 5 objects...maybe 5 pencils, 5 books. What can you find to count?

Good afternoon Nursery, I hope you’re having a lovely day and enjoying the sunshine.

Thank you for your all your emails, photographs and videos. Each one is making me smile 😊

This morning I have been working on my computer, with Amber (my dog) at my side.

Afternoon Nursery....have you sung ‘Prynhawn da’ to your family?

Part of our Busy job this morning was to count my fish. There are 5 fish in my tank, they are very small and very quick at swimming around the tank. Harley and Thomas have asked me what their names, sadly at the moment they haven’t got any names πŸ™

Can you help? Can you think of 5 names for my fish please?

Can you think of a names that start with the following letters -

m

a

s

t

We will announce the names tomorrow morning, πŸ™‚

I will continue to upload our photographs during the afternoon, I hope that you enjoy looking at them as much as I have πŸ™‚

Bore da - Good morning.

Wednesday, 25th March.

Good morning Nursery, well done everyone, you worked so hard yesterday and I very much enjoyed looking at your photographs.

Today, I thought that Morning Nursery class could sing our ‘Bore da’ (Good morning) song to your family.

Afternoon Nursery, maybe you could sing ‘Prynhawn da’ (Good afternoon) song to your family this afternoon.

Our ‘Busy job’ for today...

During an email chat with Toby yesterday, we discussed the animals in my family (I had drawn them on my Busy book) unfortunately I forgot to put my fish on there! I promised to take a photo and this started me thinking about today’s job.

Firstly, I will put on a photo of my fish, can you count how many fish I have in my tank? It’s very tricky because they like to hide amongst the plants.

Picture 1

Second....

Last week in Nursery we read the Bible story ‘Jonah and the whale’ maybe you could retell the story to your family, or find the story in the Bible and read it together?

Lastly...

In your Busy Books, maybe a picture of my fish or of our Bible story?

I hope you like retelling the story of ‘Jonah and the whale’ we really enjoyed putting actions to the story in Nursery.

I will update our page this afternoon with any photographs or ideas for Busy jobs that you have. I look forward to hearing from you.

Prynhawn da - Good afternoon.

Good morning, thank you all for sharing your lovely work with me yesterday. Your books look lovely and have really made me smile.

I will share some photographs of our work during the day, if you email photographs that you would prefer not to be on our website, that is fine- please let me know.

Our Busy job for today...

I thought today that we would look at 2D shapes - Square and circle.

I have put the shapes into my book, maybe you could draw the shapes, stick in the shapes?

We could count the corners and the sides...

We could look around our homes for the shapes...

I would like to hear your ideas too.

I will post the photographs of my book, I’ve used stickers and I’ve drawn my family on the back.

I’ve included my lovely dog Amber, Tom and Jerry the guinea pigs too.

When  we had a chat in Nursery last week, we talked about what you would like me to put on our page. You said that you would like a photo of Amber the dog, so I’ve taken a photo of her this morning to share with you. I’ll take a photo of the guinea pigs later today for you.

Have a lovely day,
