Always Aiming High – Anelu’n Uchel O Hyd

Friday 5th June

Hello everyone, it’s Friday 5th June 2020. Did you know today is:

Sausage Roll Day

Doughnut Day

Fish and Chip Day

Hot Air Balloon Day

World Environment Day

Wow what a day!! πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

If you look on line you can find out more about these days. (Although because it’s Health week, perhaps you should spend more time looking at hot air balloons and World Environment Day and not too much time on fish and chips, doughnuts and sausage rolls)!!!!!!!

Today’s Activities

Today we are thinking about the importance of water. Why do we need to drink water and how much do you drink each day?

Learn the water cycle song ( see link below) and perform it to your family, see if you can add actions.

Can you create your own rainstorm sounds using body percussion (see the link below).

What else could you use to make rain sounds?

Over the next week monitor how much water you drink. Design your own way of keeping a record or print off the sheet below.

Other Activities You May Want To Do Today:

If the sun is out:

play shadow tag

pretend the floor is lava, you have to get from one point in the garden to another point only stepping in the shade

create your own assault course ( see below for some ideas)

If it’s raining:

jump in lots of puddles ( make sure you’ve got wellies on)

measure how deep the puddles are

leave an empty bottle outside and see how much rain it collects between 10a.m. and 3 p.m.
