General information for Year 6 pupils

Oliver lyrics

Dear all,

We are using a new format to communicate with pupils and also to set and mark homework- Google Classrooms. We have used the format in school and trialled it over the weekend. It is a very safe and secure way to communicate with pupils.

All pupils have access through their Google accounts from school- any problems please pop in and see your child's class teacher.

Regards

During Literacy, Language and Communication Week, Year 6 worked in groups to summaries each scene of the play - A Midsummer Night's Dream. They did this using rhyming couplets.

We were very impressed and their work will be used in the school performance in April. What do you think?

On Monday we will be undertaking activities related to Holocaust Day 2019. We will be using the Ppt as a basis and creating some pieces of writing focusing on 'Expressing My Opinion'. This will be aimed at creating awareness rather than upsetting the children so the subject matter will be adapted accordingly.

Remembrance Service ~ 11.11.18

A big well done to William, Emily and Lili for attending the Hawarden Remembrance Service on Sunday where they represented the school by laying a wreath in remembrance to all those who have fought in war. It turned out to be a beautiful day once the ran clouds had cleared and the sun came out. Mrs McLellan and Mr Williams were very impressed as all three pupils carried out their duties with respect and dignity. They were an absolute credit to the school.
