What have we been up to this week?
We have been learning how to partition numbers in tens and unit this week, this has been very tricky so we will be continuing this next week.
The children have done a fantastic job of writing character profiles for Harry from Harry and the Bucketful of dinosaurs. The children have done a great job of using adjectives to describe what he looks like and what kind of personality they think he has.
In topic we have been learning about herbivores, carnivores and omnivores. They have sorted the dinosaurs into the different groups.
The children have been using mod rock this week to make their own fossils, they have done a great job!
What we are doing next week.
Next week we will be hot seating Harry from Harry and the bucketful of dinosaurs, they will be thinking about what questions they could ask Harry and what answers he may give.
In maths we will move on to find other ways we could partition numbers, we will be using different strategies.
In topic we will be thinking about what the world would be like if dinosaurs still lived here.
In forest schools we will be investigating what hatched out of the eggs we took outside last week.
