Always Aiming High – Anelu’n Uchel O Hyd

Term 1a

w.b 23.10.17 We have enjoyed completing a challenge for 'Discovery Dog' this week! Because the weather is taking a turn for the worse, he wanted to find out what was the best material to make an umbrella with. Here we are testing lots of different materials - after testing them all we sorted them to let him know which we would recommend! We realised that some materials are waterproof and that some are not.

w.b 16.10.17 In our dancing this week, we have been imagining we are autumn leaves! We thought about how leaves glide and float through the air, and also how they fall from the trees. We danced by ourselves and also with a partner, before one of us was the tree and one of us was the leaf gliding around the tree!

We have also been looking for signs of autumn in Forest Schools. We went collecting autumn things before comparing them, seeing what was bigger or smaller and what was longer or shorter. We even found two wriggly worms in the grass and compared their lengths!

13.10.17.

Here we are performing 'The Sharing Song' as part of our assembly about sharing. We made Miss Roberts very proud with our beautiful singing!

w.b 9.10.17 This week we have been looking at different feelings and emotions. We have sung different songs and written about what makes us happy. We hope you enjoy our faces we have been making!

w.b 2.10.17 This week we have been learning all about patterns. We have been making patterns with the colours and camels in our maths work, and also making repeating sequences of movement during PE lessons with our bodies. We have even been making patterns with sounds during our music sessions!

w.b 25.9.17 We have been learning all about Spain as part of our Humanities week. We made silly Picasso faces, tried some Spanish foods and even made some Sangria! (Only with orange juice though!)

w.b 18.9.17 Here we are having lots of fun in our first Forest school session! We hunted for shapes in our outdoor environment. We also made shapes using different natural materials. We found some fungi and discussed how they can be dangerous - no touching! Miss Roberts also helped us 'bake some cakes' where we had to count the right number of ingredients - yum yum! Mrs Lacey was so impressed with how quickly and sensibly we changed into our wellies and back - da iawn Dosbarth 2!

w.b 11th September 2017.

We have had a very busy first full week with Miss Roberts! We have enjoyed learning different songs and playing different games. We have also been practising our writing skills, and Miss Roberts has been very impressed with our counting and number recognition skills. We hope you like our portraits that we have painted!
