Day 3: Wednesday 13th April

An early start for Paris meant we were on the road at 7:30. It took us the best part of 3 hours to get there. Our first stop was the Stade de France. We had a super tour of the the stadium and even got the chance to go into the changing rooms and run out onto the pitch. Then it was into the centre of Paris with a picnic in Eiffel Park followed by a visit to the 300 metre tall Eiffel Tower. We had tickets to the second floor and were really pleased that there was no maintenance work on the lifts today so we went all the way to the top and marvelled at the wonderful views of Paris. Later in the afternoon we took a boat tour around Paris on the River Seine. We really enjoyed our day in Paris though it was very busy and a little tiring. Tomorrow we are going to Abbeville market in the morning and then onto the underground city of Naours.
