Remembrance Service - Hawarden Cenotaph
On Sunday, 12th November, Mrs McLellan and Mr Williams attended the Remembrance service at the cenotaph in Hawarden with a group of year 6 pupils. Jacob, Romain, May and Grace represented the school by laying a wreath at the memorial in honour of the many people who have died in world wars. They were an absolute credit to the school, performing their duty with grace and dignity. Both Mrs McLellan and Mr Williams were extremely proud of them and would like to thank them for taking part today.
A very big welcome to year 6. We are looking forward to a very happy, eventful and successful year. There are lots of web sites to help you with your projects and other skills.
Always write in search engines KS2 at the end of the title you need eg., land army ks2. This is the same for development of maths and literacy skills.
We also have information books in school on WW2 to assist you if you find using books easier.
Please can you do your utmost to learn your times tables as this is a vital skill in developing other areas of maths. We will practise regular at school too!
